Cost Analysis

The total proposed cost of the Botanical Garden is $20,000,000. Funding will come primarily from the local community, with additional support from grants and major donors. The 150-acre garden will be developed in five phases as funding is obtained. The first three phases place the highest priority on installing those components that establish the Botanical Garden's sense of place as an educational and recreational visitor destination.

The estimated operating budget to maintain and operate the Garden at completion of all phases has been calculated based on a series of assumptions and has been checked against other comparable facilities.  An annual operating budget of $3,000,000 is anticipated.
